Next week is important for the security industry. The ASIS conference in Atlanta will be the largest gathering of security end users witnessing the broadest use of computers, software and networking for security.
That's right, security end users will be talking about IT in the context of security more than they do at the RSA conference (the largest annual IT security conference). It's big.
Innovations include surprising new storage solutions, remarkably better event management and communications technologies, and identity management policy engines that create tremendous value.
I'll be there, along with my Hunt BI and SecurityDreamer teams. We'll kick it all off with our "un-conference" on Sunday September 14th from 4-7 pm at the Hard Rock Cafe. Care to join us? Register here. Our free event is a fun way to get your head around all the innovations in security and to be clear about which of the hundreds of exhibitors is worth your limited time on the show floor.
In a format that is part David Letterman show, part game show, and part fun networking, you'll learn how these innovations will affect your decisions (and your job) next year, while mingling with your peers and learning a ton about the best and brightest in the industry.
