The new face of Cisco's physical security program

Stuntz_2 It's official, the Braodware acquisition by Cisco closed on Friday with still no financial terms disclosed. But one thing that was disclosed today is that Bill Stuntz, Broadware CEO, is the new Vice President and General Manager for the Cisco physical security BU. He will report to Marthin DeBeer, Cisco senior vice president of emerging technologies, who told SecurityDreamer that "Bill is a leader with a strong background in physical security."

I couldn't agree more.  Was I the only person who thought that Cisco seemed to be floundering a bit?  Now the business unit has a leader who who very tuned in to the technology, trends and nuances of the physical security industry.  Good move, Cisco.

I like Bill and think he'll do a good job rallying the troops inside Cisco and helping to create and execute a real strategy around physical security.
