GE Security Splits - As Predicted - With an Excellent Twist
This is what I like to see, IT heavy hitters leading the charge in physical security. I also love it when my predictions are played out.
Scott Schnell, a veritable Barry Bonds of security technology sales and marketing, is leading the spin out of VideoIQ, Inc from under the umbrella of GE Security. Previously, Schnell took a little company eeking out its survival by selling authentication tokens in the 90's and turned it into an IT security powerhouse whose name is synonymous with security. RSA Security became the dominant brand in IT security under his watch. He can do the same for VideoIQ - sorry Scott if I'm setting the bar kinda high for you.

Yes, Scott did awesome things at RSA. But was the comparison to Barry Bonds supposed to be complimentary? :)
